Chocolate Dessert Porridge

I have always had a huge addiction to nut butters and Almond butter is without a doubt one of my favourite foods; it has both a nutty and sweet flavour. A combo which I absolutely love! This recipe totally reflects my love of them, with a recipe that’s all about warmth, comfort and energy. This Cacao Almond butter protein porridge is my favourite breakfast at the moment, It’s packed with protein and energising antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.




3/4 Cup Rolled Oats

1 tsbp Almond Butter

1 tbsp Cacao powder

1 & 1/2 cup Almond milk

2 tbsp Agave Syrup

1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/2 banana

Strawberries/Blueberries/Mulberries (or any other fresh/dried suit of your choice)


Start by mashing the banana into a puree and place, along with the oats and milk to a saucepan over a medium heat. When most of the oats are soaked in the milk and is hot, add in the cinnamon almond butter and cacao powder. Leave it to simmer for 5 minutes. Your porridge should now be ready! Pour it into a bowl and top it with your agave syrup and the fruit of your preference; my favourite is fresh and dried berries.
