I still am surprised I haven’t yet shared this quick and easy recipe for this delicious smoothie knowing I have it for breakfast almost everyday! And no, I never get bored of it.. and if I do, I switch to my classic avo-toast.. so it’s a win win situation here as both are so delightful to break your fast on.
This is awesome to make; so so practical to take with you on the go or just having something sip on whilst doing your emails in the morning. If you leave to work/school/uni early and have no time for a wholesome breakfast, make this the night before, refrigerate and enjoy the next day. It will keep you going for hours; packed full of Fibre, Potassium, Iron and Calcium it will feed your body and mind very well. Did I also mention that it tastes just as good as it looks or even better!
1 ripe banana, frozen (if not, add in ice)
3 tbsp rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 medjool dates (or 3 small ones), pitted
1 tsp cacao powder
1/2 cup hazelnut/almond milk, more if needed
Place the all the ingredients in a high speed blender, process until all is combined and forms a smoothie.
Serve and enjoy!
