It’s cold and grey outside but that doesn’t matter on the stove simmering a creamy porridge with spiced cinnamon. In my opinion, a good breakfast can instantly change your course of day and simply sweeten your morning. Let me know if you feel the same way! So when I start my day with a delicious breakfast, I start strengthened and with positive energy in the day. Not only the food but also the preparation contributes to it. I love being in the kitchen in the morning, drinking my cup of green tea next to it and starting the day as I wish.

Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup water
1 cup almond milk
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 banana, sliced
1-2 tbsp almond butter
1/2 handful cacao nibs
1/2 handful coconut flakes
Method:
In a small saucepan over high heat, add oats, pinch salt, water and almond milk and stir. When it comes to a boil, reduce to low-medium heat and cook until thick and creamy.
Once thick, remove from stove top. Add a little almond milk if it’s too thick for your liking.
Pour porridge into two bowls and decorate with blueberries, banana, cacao nibs, a dollop of among butter, coconut flakes, more cinnamon and maple syrup for sweetness.
