These have to be by far the best bake batch I’ve made! These dough squares are full of flavour; melted chocolate chips at the centre and a bite that melts in the mouth.
It’s great for sweet cravings; there is absolutely no compromise in flavour with this recipe. Just a warning, you may or may not wipe them out it in one go…
Ingredients:
1/4 cup plain flour
1 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup smooth lotus spread, melted
1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup oat milk
1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped into small squares
1/2 tsp himalayan salt
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a square baking tray with oil greased baking paper.
In a large bowl, combine the coconut oil and coconut sugar and mix thoroughly. Add in the syrup and lotus and mix once again. After that, add in all the dry ingredients including the ground almonds, flour, chopped chocolate and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are combined. Lastly, add in your milk and mix again until you form a cake-like batter.
Pour the mixture into the baking tray and place into the oven for 20 – 30 minutes. Your kitchen should now be smelling glorious!
Once out of the oven, let it cool down for 10 minutes and then cut into small squares.
